 The BBC was founded on the 18th of October 1922 making it almost 100 years old and is considered the oldest national broadcaster and is the biggest broadcaster in the world. BBC at its in the inception of the company BBC in the beginning because the TV was new they didn't know what to use it for so they used to just broadcast the actors in the radio dramas reading their scripts and overtime they slowly realised that they could tell stories with shows such as the buck and bubbles. 

In the BBCs years explanatory documentaries have become very popular on their platform as animals and the planet have become the most popular kind of documentary to be aired as they are always very well produced and filmed and almost always include the voice of David Attenborough. David Attenborough over the years has become basically the golden standard for narration in documentaries thanks to the BBC's frequent use of his commentary in their well produced documentaries such as Our Planet, Planet Earth and Blue Planet and more. 

BBC three is a free to air television channel and was first created on the 9th of February 2003 and it airs shows and different kinds of programs targeting 16 to 34 yeah olds with showing in the genres of comedy, animation, drama. The BBC has been quoted as saying "to act in the public interest, serving all audiences through the provision of impartial, high-quality and distinctive output and services which inform, educate and entertain" this means that the BBC has a duty to not only just entertain but also to educate its viewers.
